End of the line.....

I cast my vote for David Cook!

Wouldn't it be great if they had a 6 week mini competition to pick the best Idol out of the past winning Idol winners?

Tres Amigos

Oh man. Disliked Danny's first song, really liked Kris' first, and really, really liked Adam's first.

Really liked Danny's second, neutral on Kris' second and didn't like Adam's second.

HATED all the banter between the judges. They should just have their own show after the performances.

Hellooooo out there......

Alli - out.....

So it must be all the teen girls calling in to vote. Not looking forward to the eliminations next week.

Reality Show Overload

So why do they have Biggest Loser, American Idol and Dancing with the Stars all on the same night/same time???

Rock night was great for Adam and Allison. Slash was kind of a washout for the show, but I know the Idols got a thrill out of working with the band. Depending on who hits the phones, I think it's goodbye for Kris or Danny.

I can't believe Lil' Kim got booted from Dancing with the Stars!! There was shock all around.

I want Mike to be the Biggest Loser. What a sweet kid.

Wednesday, April 29, 2009

Aha!

They got it right but it was hard to watch. Rock n Roll next week should go well.

Poor Mother... Talking to Herself

I liked Kris a lot. I liked the last part of Danny's song. I think Allison did a great job. I did not care for Matt's performance or look. And Adam can suck it.

I think Matt should go home. I want Adam to go home but he won't. I would be very sad if Danny or Allison went home. It's a tough one at this point because everybody is pretty great.

The end.

Pack Rat Five

See how I mixed it up? The judges would like how I made the title my own....

I'll stick with this order on the way out the door: Matt, Kris, Allison. Kris still has the cute factor and Allison just has the female factor.

Jamie(or Jaime?)Fox was so good. Really liked Danny's performance. Didn't care for Adam's rendition of the song but he's still tops in my book.

Getting lazy.

So all the people in the Top 10 will get to go on tour and get a big push in their career. Lil lasted longer than I thought she would. Anoop has a good voice, is handsome but it seemed he just couldn't connect with the audience.

Wednesday, April 22, 2009

Seven-Up

Disco night. How lame. I want disco songs to sound like disco. Lil is on thin ice once again and Allison is floundering.

I still think Adam is the most marketable in a Clay Aitken way. I'd hate to see any of the guys leave at this point.

Friday, April 17, 2009

Saved but not safe.

Lil has another chance to get her act together. Matt needs to be more personable to not get booted after being saved this week. I think the judges just want the save option to be gone so they don't have to chatter through the "sing for your life" and be put on the spot. What a ridiculous concept in the first place.

Movie Madness

Boorrring. There were some high points, but few. Danny and Adam stole the show. Anoop and Kris held my attention. Matt was shaky. Allison has morphed into a not so cutesy, big voiced kid. Lil is just tanking and that's too bad.

It'll be guten nacht to Lil. Nein goot fraulein.

Thursday, April 9, 2009

Good and bad.

Now we're going to get to the meat of things. Anoop looked scared poopless last night when he was waiting for the final decree. He has to continue to do better than fantastic unless he can get all the calling centers overseas to start voting.

Wednesday, April 8, 2009

How can my Mother like Adam Lambert?

Yuck. Awful. Terrible. Whatever. He just did overly dramatic version of Gary Jules version of Mad World. Big Whoop.

I liked Anoop, Allison, Danny and Matt. I voted for Anoop. The people that could go are Scott, Lil and Kris. Scott is like a Christian bible camp counselor. Also there's a reason why a lot of blind singers wear sunglasses... because otherwise you have this creepy zombie stare. Somebody needs to get him to try less fake eye contact. And Lil...poor Lil. She really is great but she just don't get it. And I don't thinks he ever will. She is boring and has no sense of self. She can go. We're at the point where you need more than to be a good singer. There are a lot of great singers on the season this year. Moreso than any season, I think. Also, I really like Kris but his performance last night was just blah. So we'll see what happens tonight.

Not so great eight.

Danny - Stand by Me

Really hated it until the tempo picked up. Not what I like in a really good song.

Kris –All She Wants to do is Dance.

Not liking it. I hope cute will carry him for a few weeks.

Lil – What’s Love got to do with IT.

I’m just not thrilled with IT.

(Maybe my Thai pork curry is weighing heavy on me tonight. Maybe they shouldn’t

have had a day off.)

Anoop – True Colors

Here we go! I’m not forced to hit mute for this one. Good Job.

Scott – The Search is Over.

Sorry. He is really plain white bread. Can’t watch him and he’s just not good enough.

Allison – I Can’t Make You Love Me.

I absolutely love this song. Her skirt should be burned. Tied with Anoop.

(The show is just kinda flat tonight.)

Matt – Part Time Lovers

It’s almost good but falls short of his best. Like his hat.

Adam – Mad World

W-O-W again. I am not disappointed. He's in my Adam Ant, Chris Isaaks, Prince collection of favs.

Still can lose Scott this week. Lil and Kris may be in trouble.

Thursday, April 2, 2009

Yes!!!! The bubbler leaves.

There are a couple left to go before we get to the real meat. Allison better watch it. I think her handlers are messing with her image too much. She should just be the young girl with the huge voice. That makes her unique enough. I'd hate to see the judges use up their SAVE this early in the game for her.

I don't know if I can remember as far back as last night...

So I hate hate hate Adam Lambert. He is so pretentious and annoying. My dream would be for him to get voted off and for the judges to NOT save him. That would be a kick in the effing guts for him. And he needs it.

Anyhoo, last night, I liked Danny Gokey (even though I didn't like the song), Allison and Kris Allen. They were all fantastic. I was very very disappointed in Lil and Matt. What the hell, Lil? Why would you sing that gay-ass Celine Dion bullshit. (Sorry, Mom) And Matt, the Fray? Come on! Come on! You are an R&B guy. You are everything Anoop wishes he could be.

Tonight, I think it's probably going to be Anoop, Megan, or Scott.

Also, I have been voting every week and I meant to vote for Kris last night so if he gets voted off, I will feel guilty. And to boot, if he gets voted off... the judges should use their option to save them. This will set the stage quite nicely for them not being able to save Adam if he ever gets voted off. Happy day.

The end.

A most difficult night.

When it comes to the Idols singing R & B or Hip Hoppity type music, I get left in the dust. I've never heard of these songs and would never voluntarily subject myself to these genres. The only way I'm exposed to this music is while being transported in a certain forest green Mazda.

So......I'm sure Anoop was great but I'll have to pass on judgement. Matt was also a disappointment. Danny and Allison were their usual great. Scott is sliding towards the exit but Megan better be first out the door!! She sounds like a golfish bubbling up her songs to the surface.

Kris, Adam and L'il were the hits of the night for me.

Tonight we'll be having an Idol elimination gathering at Colleens.....fun! Brats, beer, kraut and playing some Uno.

Friday, March 27, 2009

Mixed results.

Not surprised that Michael left and am glad that he will be in the Top 10 Tour group. He'll have a good following and it will help his family. Was surprised somewhat that Matt was in the bottom 2. He is not very appealing in a warm and fuzzy way. The talent is there but I still go back to his comments about wanting to be a Hip-Hoppy stylist. We still have a couple disposables to go before it gets really tough.

Thursday, March 26, 2009

Fine, Mom. I'll post.

Okay, last night's shows was good. My favorite of the night was Allison. She's fantastic. I also really liked Matt and Kris. And I know Adam was good but I just can't stand him so I won't put him in the top. Everything he does is so contrived. Ugh. I think the roughneck, blindy or Megan will/should go home tonight. I voted for Allison.

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

Throwing out my scoring system.....

I started out by really liking Matt tonight and gave him a 10 out of a possible 10. It turns out that there were some that I thought did a better job so I ended up giving a 10+ to Allison, Anoop, and Danny. Adam is still so unique and he just blew me away with a 10+++. I dubbed Megan the Sarah Palin of Idol performers and I hope she's the one going this week. Scott and Mike are also on my short list of won't be missed. Kris and L'il just squeeked by with OK performances.

Such a great show tonight and it seemed to fly by in 30 minutes.

Adam Lambert can stick it!!!

I don't have much time. Let me just tell you though that I hate country night and I am glad that got it over with already. And Adam Lambert has gotten on my last nerve. He tries to hard to be "unique." And I agree with Simon that his ridiculously creepy rendition of "ring of fire" was indulgent. I believe that he is trying to David Cook it up to show what kind of artist he would be so he'll get noticed. However, I think it's all fabricated. I think he sings in musicals. That's what he does. And if would have just tried to come out and sing songs well, then I'd probably be on his side. What he did last was just ughhh, I want to forget it. I thought Danny was good last night. I liked Lil Rounds. My top choice last night was (and, yes, I did vote for him)...Matt Giraud. I like him.

That is all... Michelle

Tuesday, March 17, 2009

Randy is so dandy.....

I was greatly surprised at the show tonight. There were so many good performances that I had to be really picky on their songs. My favorite was Allison but since she was one of the first performers, I question if she really was the best. I gave the top votes to Allison, Adam and Danny once again. Anoop and Chris were also so much better this week. Low on the list was Scott and I just don't care for Matt.

So.....I hope I get some company here on the board. It's lonely.

Wednesday, March 11, 2009

Two down....

No real surprise tonight. I'm not liking the "Judges' Save" idea. Either make it the vote or each week have some percentage of the decision up to the judges. I suppose it will be used to save Danny or Adam at some point.....we'll have to see.

Nightie night!

Still pretend voting....

I wasn't moved to the phone to vote, but something I ate sure had me moving from in front of the TV last night. Almost thought it was time for the ER but all is OK this morning.

Starting out with a Jackson song was a bit tough for some of the performers and I almost wish they could sing two weeks before cutting down the group. I kinda go by who would be marketable even though some may not have their skills developed yet. If they're cute but can't sing they may last a while, but that's the unfair part about the voting process.

Two of this group can go without me missing them: Chris, Scott, Mike, Jasmine, or Jorge.

My top picks were all A's this week: Allison, Adam and Alexis. The runner ups were: Lil, Danny, Anoop, Matt and Megan.

I actually voted tonight.

Danny Gokey. Danny Gokey. He killed that song. And you can say what you want about his sob story and about whatever but he killllled that song. He was hands down the best of the night and I don't care what the judges say about Adam Lambert. What I have to say about Adam Lambert is that he is very talented and I hope he goes for but, personally, I can't stand his 80s rock falsetto-y, musical-y voice. And his hair. I can't stand his hair. I had to live through David Cook's hair last season. Why again with Adam's hair? Anyhow, overall this was a pretty great show. One of the best opening shows I can remember. There were other great performances. I really liked Matt Giraud. I liked the husky-voiced Salvadorean. I like Lil Rounds. Blindy was good enough. I don't really know what's going to happen but I do know that with this amount of talented people....some good folks are going to get voted off. Oh, well. Just keep Gokey.

xxoo

Crappola

E'nuff said.

His sense of dance is very refined.

I like how Mom spells it L'il. How adorable. Anyhow, I agree with her. I go for Lil, Blindy and Junot. That is all.

Group Three

What a group! My ratings numbers were all over the place with this one. The three I'd like to see make it through on votes are Jorge, Ju'Not and L'il. Down the list are Felisha, Kendall, and Von with 9s, Kristen, Scott and Taylor with 8s, Arianna 7, and quirky but not good enough are Alex and Nate with 6s.

I can only imagine what it will be like in the room where the judges battle over their wild card picks. Did anyone catch when they will be announced or will that be dragged out over another show?

American Idol again?

Count me among those who cannot handle this top 36 stuff. I don't recall things being so boring before. Just shove the top 12 in front of me and make me pick a couple favorites. It's really difficult to compartmentalize such a big group. We need the black girl, the male person of color, the heavily painted female that is interesting to look at, the sweet girl, the super faggy guy, the white male who thanks Jesus and his wife, the person of questionable age, the boy that is too young for the mothers to be thinking about him naked, the musician who is true to his or her sound and wants to make every theme correspond, one more black girl to split the black girl vote, the single mom who really wants this so she can make a better life for her baby, and Danny Noriega. I'm still pretty pissed off about Danny Noriega.

I want my Country Night, I want my Ford commercials, and I want to see the contestants crying because they get to meet Patti LaBelle. I did not sign up for thirty-six separate bios. I think Danny Gokey has no power to his voice. His eyewear choices are questionable. I think that Normund Gentle is really funny. I think that Adam Lambert needs a shower. I won't care about this show until the Wild Card round, and if Anoop is not given another opportunity, I will be disappointed.

Kara is the best thing about this season so far. I think between her and Simon we are all going to get a lesson on what "commercial" really means. Read Jacob's recaps at www.televisionwithoutpity.com for more swearing.

Small surprise with a great smile....

The tween girls must have been on the phone to vote Wednesday night. Kris is young, cute and it doesn't hurt to watch him perform. It seems so much talent may be falling through the cracks with this new plan to reduce to the Top 12.

The constant petty bickering between the judges is a real distraction. Maybe we should have a sub-contest to eliminate one judge???

I'm starting to look forward to the season!

Thursday, February 26, 2009

Last night had it's high points and it's man you're a really shitty singer points.

Well, I enjoyed Norman Gentle. I couldn't help it. I don't think he should move on though because there are three deserving people who should get a spot. My picks from last night were 16 year old Allison who sang Heart's Alone. Her husky voice is fantastic and she was great to watch perform. She was leagues ahead of the oldest people in the competition. I also liked Megan Joy whatever. She's really pretty and cool. And she picked a great song for herself. I enjoy her and hope she will move on and just get better. And then, of course, I loved Adam Lambert. He killed it. He wanted it. He did it. He murdered. He deserves to move on. He's got one of the biggest monkeys on his back in the sense that he needs to get out from under the "I do musicals" rock. And I really think he's trying. I just wish he wouldn't have such meticulously punked-out hair. I hated it with David Cook and I hate it with him.

Vote in the poll!

Week 2 - Second 12

That was pretty pathetic. I worked out a scoring system to try to remember what everyone did. I knew they'd keep Adam to the end and no suprise he was 9 out of a possible 10. Kinda creepy but still the best performance. My only other 9 was Allison aka Raggedy Ann Hair with Mishavonna a close 8.75.......the rest were Jesse and Kai 8, Kris and Megan 7, Jasmine and Old Matt 6, Jeanine 5, Young Matt 4 and gag me Nick with a 2.

So predict to go through are Adam, Allison and Mishavonna or a possible Young Matt as runner up vote getter.

Hate this format and really wish they'd charge more for commercials to make it a 90 minute show.

A Fan?

Yeah.....we have a follower!

Poor Tatiana

So the winners are Pink Highlights, the Roughneck and Dead Wife.

I'm fine with that.

On to next week!

Danny Goky!

Okay, I'm a fan of Danny, the roughneck and Anoop. I hope they make it through. I also would like to plead with Ryan to stop trying to bring up Danny's dead wife every time he gets the chance. It is obvious to me that Danny would rather not milk that. Leave the guy alone.

IDOL 2009 IS HERE!!!

I wasn't too impressed with last night's show. It easily could have been cut back to a 60 minute show with fewer comments by the judges. Six out of the twelve performers were just filler.

I'll predict that Alexis and Danny will make it through to next week. My guess for the 3rd person is split between Steve Fowler, Country Brent or Tatiana for the drama factor. If they don't make it through on votes they still have a chance with the judge's wild card pick.
